I really love getting in the kitchen and creating new recipes like this Instant Pot sausage rice soup. I love using my creativity to make new dishes that inspire my tastebuds…and hopefully yours too! But I especially love helping people discover healthy, real food recipes. This helps them to live a healthier life. Food is one important part of keeping the body functioning the way it should. Simple, unprocessed foods are the key!
I have really been into creating new soup and stew recipes for the Instant Pot in the past few weeks. And although I know I probably sound like a broken record, I’m not going to stop! My Instant Pot makes cooking so fast and even easier! And knowing that I’m able to create healthy, home-cooked meals makes me feel even better! Especially since I have found the joys of using bone broth and what great taste it lends to the soups I create. This sausage rice soup was my latest Instant Pot creation. Yum!
Besides the great taste, I know when I eat bone broth-based soups, I am getting some great nutrients too! The nutrient content in bone broth is easy for the digestive system to absorb and is a great aid for helping to heal your gut! This recipe is one of those that I literally just threw together…..and it worked. That is the beautiful thing about soup. It’s hard to do it wrong!
When using rice, this recipe is not super brothy. The rice expands quite a bit and makes it a thicker soup. It will be more brothy if you use cauliflower “rice” which doesn’t expand the same way conventional rice does.
This soup is naturally gluten-free. If you are interested in grain-free recipes, you can substitute in cauliflower “rice” instead of traditional rice.
