Have you ever made your own body scrub? Well, what are you waiting for? This is a great chance to take some time to nurture and pamper you!

There is something truly luscious in using personal care products that are free of toxins and as natural as possible. How delicious is it to love your body enough that you want to pamper it in that way? It is truly decadent to take the time to take care of you…especially since so many women tend to put themselves last! So give yourself a “spa day” at home and you can try this recipe! Your skin will thank you!

If you’ve never heard of or used sugar-based body scrubs, you might be wondering what they are for and what benefits they provide for your skin. Well, the good news is that these natural sugar scrubs are a great way to exfoliate dry skin while also moisturizing….naturally.

The granules of sugar are perfect for sloughing away dead skin cells, and in this recipe, that benefit is increased by the addition of almonds and oats. Almonds and oats are also great for helping to soothe skin, especially when it’s dry. The honey in this recipe is anti-microbial, antiseptic, and a great antioxidant. It can help reduce inflammation and is suitable for all skin types.

You will never have to worry about added preservatives, synthetic fragrances, and other chemicals that can be absorbed into your body. And you don’t need to pay excessive amounts on store-bought scrubs when you can make this at home for less!

How to use a body scrub

While you are in the shower or tub, wash your body fully with soap and rinse off. Apply liberal amounts to your skin and rub in a circular motion to allow the granules, almonds, and oats to remove dead skin cells. That’s it! You will be left with skin that is healthier and refreshed!
