Anyone who knows me knows I’m a fan of pumpkin spice. And every September, I get so excited for the start of pumpkin spice season! So this year, I’ve made it a goal to create some new pumpkin spice-themed recipes. And this pumpkin spice oatmeal was at the top of my list!
I make homemade oatmeal all the time. It’s easy to make and tastes great! So adding some pumpkin spice flavor to my oatmeal was the perfect way to change my breakfast up a bit.
Now I use a premade organic pumpkin spice seasoning in my recipes. It’s just much easier than having to mix up your own blend. And hey, I’m all about simple, quick, and easy recipes here! I use the Simply Organic brand, and it’s worked very well for me. But any brand of seasoning should work well for this recipe!
Of course, pumpkin spice tastes great. But some great health benefits come from the spices used in the mix. I actually took a look at the health benefits of pumpkin spice before, so check out my post on that!
Now I use almond milk for this recipe, but feel free to substitute in the milk that you prefer. If you want this oatmeal a little sweeter, you can always drizzle some additional maple syrup on it as well.
This recipe is naturally gluten-free.
