Did you know that laughing is a powerful way to reduce negative energy? That can not only help you feel better but live a better life!

Do you find yourself feeling stressed and overwhelmed regularly? We all deal with different levels of stress every day.  And some days are definitely worse than others! But often we don’t know how to manage the energy that we absorb. And so we end up turning to unhealthy forms of stress management, such as smoking, drinking, and overeating to try to quell the overwhelming feelings that accompany all of that energy.

We live in a world that is full of anxiety, fear, uncertainty, and anger. And these negative feelings are easy for anyone to absorb, often without knowing it. It can be even worse for those who are energy sensitive. But there is one thing that is more contagious than anxiety, fear, and anger……laughter. We all know that laughing feels good. But many people don’t know about all of the other benefits that regular laughing can provide.

Laughing helps with stress relief

Laughter is the ultimate stress reliever! It easily reduces physical, mental, and emotional stress. Laughing helps to shut off the fight, flight, or freeze stress response which in turn reduces stress hormones. Since many people face chronic stress levels daily, including laughter in your day can help you let go of that negative energy and reduce stress levels.

Immune system boosting

Having a lower energy level is connected with illness. In fact, those with chronic illnesses have consistently low vibrational energy levels. A good giggle can increase your vibrational energy, which in turn increases your immune system. This can help you to ward off colds and flu and other viruses.

Mood boost

Laughing releases endorphins, the “feel good” chemicals in the brain. This can help you feel better and give you a nice mood boost.

Laughing increases positive energy!

Along with the increased release of endorphins comes an increase in positive energy. You feel better! Laughter can even diffuse negative situations quickly! Laughing regularly has been shown to bring people together, and can create a strong social bond.

Increase in heart and lung strength

Laughter is pretty much a mini-workout. Laughter yoga (yes, that is a thing) practitioners often call laughing “internal jogging”. It helps the heart by increasing the blood flow and improving the function of arteries and veins. Working the lungs through laughter also helps to strengthen them.

Pain reduction and craving reduction

Studies have shown that laughing regularly reduces pain. Many who experience chronic pain have noted that there is a significant reduction in pain for up to several hours after laughing. The endorphins released by an extended period of laughing may also reduce cravings for junk food.

Laughing Increases Confidence and joy

The more you laugh, the more your confidence level will go up, which in turn will make you feel even better! When you make laughter a regular part of your life, you can go from a life that’s just so-so to one that is full of joy.

One of the most important things to know about laughter is that your brain cannot distinguish between genuine laughter and fake laughter. So even if you don’t feel like laughing, you can fake it. This is a great energy hack for those who are energy sensitive! After faking it for 10 minutes, your brain will release the same feel-good endorphins that are released when you genuinely laugh. And once those endorphins have been released and you feel better, you will find yourself genuinely laughing more and more.
