Dressing made easy!

For some reason today, I was craving a salad. Not the kind with iceberg lettuce, but one with fresh organic spring greens. But I wasn’t really feeling the heavier mayonnaise-based salad dressings. So I decided that I would try to create a good balsamic vinaigrette recipe to go with it instead. Now, let me say that I’ve never been the biggest fan of balsamic vinegar because it has always been just a bit too tangy for me.

So I looked at a few different recipes and ended up creating this one instead. This balsamic vinaigrette was so good, that my salad actually tasted like the type you would purchase at a fine dining establishment. I will definitely use this as my go-to vinaigrette! As I get older my tastes must be changing because I don’t mind the tanginess of the balsamic vinegar anymore. Now I can’t get enough of this dressing!

I do recommend that you choose organic balsamic vinegar when possible. Most conventional brands of balsamic vinegar contain caramel coloring, which is a known cancer-causing carcinogen and is best to avoid. Certified organic brands are not allowed to use caramel coloring.

This vinaigrette also makes a great marinade for chicken. I’ve used it a few times for that and it’s given my chicken a wonderful taste.

This balsamic vinaigrette is naturally gluten-free and grain-free too!

I have other balsamic vinaigrette recipes too! Here’s a salad with a maple vinaigrette. And this one has a strawberry vinaigrette…both are amazing!

This classic vinaigrette is super simple to make and absolutely delicious too!
