I was definitely a child of the 70s and 80s and saw major changes in technology while I was a child. But now that I’m in my 50’s, I’m noticing the unintended consequences of the advances we make back then. That is true when it comes to our health as well.

When I was a young child, we did not have video games, cable television, drive-through windows at fast-food restaurants, microwave ovens, cell phones, or computers. And don’t get me wrong…these things are beneficial, to a point.

But at the same time, what have we lost because of these advances? Well, it seems that as there has been an increase in technology to make our life more convenient, we are losing more and more of our health. There are more and more things that deplete our vital vibrational energy.

When I was a child, when we weren’t in school or sleeping, we were outside, actively playing. I was always riding my bicycle, roller skating, swimming, dancing, or playing with one of my friends. I always came home ready for a good bath and a good night’s sleep.

These days, the kids spend far more time in front of a computer, playing video games, texting on their cell phones, or watching the hundreds of channels available through the local cable station. They are not nearly as active as we were.

Fast food everywhere!

Then there is the abundance of fast-food restaurants. When I was young, going for burgers and fries was an occasional treat. That began changing when they started installing drive-thru windows. I actually remember when the local McDonald’s constructed its drive-thru window in the town I grew up in. It was a very big deal. And it made purchasing fast food even more convenient. And people began to go through the drive-thru much more often.

The first frozen dinner I ever ate was covered in foil and had to go into the oven, so we really didn’t eat those very often. With the invention of the microwave, we could nuke everything from full dinners to pizza and popcorn. But those things are filled with lots of unnatural chemicals, flavors, colors, and fillers.

The era of homecooked meals

I remember my mother working in the kitchen, preparing our meals every day…from scratch! Now there are all kinds of packaged meal kits to make life more convenient. But unfortunately, we’ve traded meal convenience, whether it be in the form of fast food or packaged food with health. The most convenient foods are often loaded with artificial flavors, artificial colors, and lots of chemical preservatives. Many are loaded with processed sugar and flour. And most of those same convenience foods have little to no real nutritional value. In other words, these foods, while convenient, lack the vital energy our bodies need to thrive. These are low vibing foods!

As a society that is focused on convenience, we are losing our health. Obesity has become an epidemic and the overwhelming majority of Americans live a very sedentary lifestyle. As a result, there has been an increase in diseases such as diabetes and cancer. The stress level of typical Americans, in general, is far higher now than in decades past.

Our fast-paced, convenient lifestyle is compromising our health and our lives. Many more people are experiencing more health issues than ever before.

Getting back to a more simple way of eating for our health

But we can stop this trend. We can get back to a more simple life. But letting go of some of the conveniences and getting back to basics, we can raise vibrations, restore our health and avoid the pitfalls of the advances that have been made in the past few decades.

We can clean up our diets and clean our environments and regain our sense of peace. No one can do it for us. We must take a step towards freedom. I encourage you to look at your life and as yourself what your priorities are. Figure out what is really important to you and look for ways to make positive changes for yourself and your family.

You will be amazed at how different your life can be and how much better you will feel!
