What is natural cleaning

If you were to begin reading the list of ingredients on a typical household cleaner, you would probably be amazed at some of the chemicals that are found inside. Everyday products can cause huge problems for those with sensitivities, but even those who are not sensitive, can be profoundly effected by long term exposure to the chemicals in cleaners.

There is a list of around 500 commonly found chemicals that are known carcinogens. Many of these chemicals are neurotoxins and can affect the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, liver, circulatory system, skin, eyes and more. They are poisonous to humans, and particularly harsh on children and those who have compromised health.

Natural cleaning is about throwing all of the chemical laden cleaners away and using natural, healthy options. These options worked well for the generations that came before us, and we often take for granted the benefits that they bring…..especially the benefit of health!

I am going to be including some great recipes for natural cleaners that you can make and use at home, without the need for highly toxic cleaners. This will make your home environment safer for everyone!

Yes, I would really love some recipes for natural cleaners. I have fibromyalgia, and am trying to improve my health on every level. Now, if I could just get rid of this constant pain!!!!!!!

Two of the greatest natural cleaning ingredients you can find are white vinegar and baking soda! Mix 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. You can add a few drops of essential oil if you really don’t like the vinegar smell…which does dissipate pretty quickly, luckily. Use the spray for counter tops, sinks, mirrors, windows. Baking soda is great for cleaning tough dirt (I love using in to get the toothpaste out of my bathroom sink!). I will be adding some more recipes soon! 🙂
