I wanted to share this natural electrolyte drink recipe to give you options that are natural!

After times of heavy physical activity or time outside in hot weather, if you have spent a lengthy period of time sweating you may need to replenish your electrolyte levels. Most people reach for store bought electrolyte drinks such as Gatorade, which are filled with ingredients that are better off left back on the store’s shelves! For optimal health you want to leave toxic ingredients well enough alone!

Add some herbal mineral blend to boost minerals even more! 1/4 of a cup will boost electrolytes even more!

Herbal Mineral Tea Blend

Mix together one ounce of the following herbs and keep in a jar: Burdock root, oatstraw, nettle leaf and chamomile. Add 1/2 oz of marshmallow root. Store in a cool, dark place. To make: Take two heaping teaspoons of herb mixture into a quart mason jar. Fill the jar with boiling water. Allow the herbs to steep for 20 minutes. Strain out herbs and allow the mixture to cool fully.

But you can replenish your electrolytes easily by making yourself this drink and it’s much healthier than anything comparable from the store!
