If you are craving homemade chocolate chip cookies but don't want to make a big batch, this chocolate chip cookie bar recipe for two is the perfect option!
Grease or butter a 3 cup (.75 qt) casserole dish or a 10 or 12 oz. ramekin. Set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and sugar.
Add the egg yolk, water (or milk) and vanilla. Mix together until fully combined.
Add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix well.
Stir in the chocolate chips until fully combined.
Add dough to your greased baking dish and spread.
Bake at 350 F for 22-24 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven and allow the cookie bar to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
I have made this recipe several times over the past year. Some times I have to add an additional 1/2 tbsp of water or milk if the dough seems to be a bit dry. This may be because of the size of the egg yolk.
